L\u2019initiative d\u2019exploration de QIMC vise \u00e0 exploiter les abondantes ressources renouvelables du Qu\u00e9bec pour extraire l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne blanc de mani\u00e8re efficace et rentable, positionnant ainsi la province comme un acteur cl\u00e9 de l\u2019\u00e9conomie mondiale de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p>\u201d Nous sommes ravis d\u2019entreprendre ce projet d\u2019exploration et d\u2019extraction d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne blanc au Qu\u00e9bec \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 John Karagiannidis, pr\u00e9sident de QI Materials. \u201d En tirant parti de notre expertise en technologies vertes et en collaborant avec des partenaires locaux, nous visons \u00e0 exploiter pleinement le potentiel de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne blanc pour d\u00e9carboner divers secteurs et contribuer \u00e0 un avenir plus propre et plus durable. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>S\u2019appuyant sur le mod\u00e8le de Hutchinson (Greenstones as a source of hydrogen in cratonic sedimentary basins, f\u00e9vrier 2024) ainsi que sur le r\u00e9cent succ\u00e8s de Gold Hydrogen dans leur d\u00e9couverte australienne de Ramsay, l\u2019Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (\\\u201d<b>INRS<\/b>Les principaux objectifs de QI Materials pour cette initiative d&#039;exploration d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne blanc enti\u00e8rement financ\u00e9e sont les suivants\u00a0:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00c0 partir de juin, les \u00e9quipes de l&#039;INRS seront sur le terrain pour pr\u00e9lever des \u00e9chantillons de gaz du sol (\u00e9tude des gaz du sol) et effectuer des relev\u00e9s sous-marins dans le lac T\u00e9miscamingue.<\/li>\n<li>Ces lev\u00e9s serviront notamment \u00e0 localiser les zones de d\u00e9gazage associ\u00e9es aux failles du rift de T\u00e9miscamingue.<\/li>\n<li>Des lev\u00e9s g\u00e9ophysiques seront ensuite r\u00e9alis\u00e9s afin de d\u00e9tecter les structures profondes de la roche. Des relev\u00e9s par drone seront \u00e9galement effectu\u00e9s pour fournir des donn\u00e9es de t\u00e9l\u00e9d\u00e9tection utiles \u00e0 l&#039;exploration de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne et de l&#039;h\u00e9lium.<\/li>\n<li>Le travail de terrain sera principalement effectu\u00e9 dans le secteur de la municipalit\u00e9 de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201d Le mod\u00e8le conceptuel d\u2019exploration qui a men\u00e9 \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9laboration du programme d\u2019exploration est le mod\u00e8le de production d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne dans le contexte du socle pr\u00e9cambrien, et plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment le sous-mod\u00e8le li\u00e9 \u00e0 la pr\u00e9sence de roches riches en fer associ\u00e9es \u00e0 la ceinture de roches vertes arch\u00e9ennes (groupe volcanique de Baby). Dans la r\u00e9gion de T\u00e9miscamingue, et plus pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment dans le secteur de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues, les unit\u00e9s de la ceinture volcanique de Baby, compos\u00e9es de p\u00e9ridotites, de komatiites, de basaltes et de formations de fer, sont recouvertes par des roches s\u00e9dimentaires prot\u00e9rozo\u00efques du groupe de Cobalt, elles-m\u00eames recouvertes par des roches dolomitiques et des schistes argileux ordoviciens (groupe de New Liskeard). Ces roches s\u00e9dimentaires, qui recouvrent le socle pr\u00e9cambrien, sont affect\u00e9es par la zone de rift de T\u00e9miscamingue, toujours active (d\u00e9formations n\u00e9otectoniques) \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 Marc Richer-LaFl\u00e8che, de l\u2019INRS, qui dirige le programme.<\/p>\n<p><b>\u00c0 propos de l\u2019INRS et du Pr Marc Richer-LaFl\u00e8che, P.Geo.<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Le\u00a0<i>Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique<\/i>\u00a0(\\\u201d<b>INRS<\/b>L\u2019Institut de recherche et de formation de QIMC (IQM) est un institut de haut niveau. L\u2019\u00e9quipe du Pr Richer-LaFl\u00e8che poss\u00e8de une expertise exceptionnelle en g\u00e9ologie, g\u00e9ochimie et g\u00e9ophysique, notamment dans les r\u00e9gions des concessions r\u00e9cemment acquises par QIMC. Elle a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 plus de six ann\u00e9es de travaux g\u00e9ophysiques et g\u00e9ochimiques et collect\u00e9 des milliers d\u2019analyses de gaz du sol (C1-C4).<\/p>\n<p>M. Richer-LaFl\u00e8che est \u00e9galement titulaire d\u2019une subvention du FRQNT, en partenariat avec le R\u00e9seau des mines et de la g\u00e9ologie du Qu\u00e9bec et l\u2019industrie mini\u00e8re, pour d\u00e9velopper et optimiser une m\u00e9thode d\u2019analyse des gaz du sol permettant la d\u00e9tection directe des corps min\u00e9ralis\u00e9s et des failles sous la couverture quaternaire. Outre les gaz sulfur\u00e9s, l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne a \u00e9t\u00e9 syst\u00e9matiquement analys\u00e9 lors des nombreuses campagnes de prospection men\u00e9es en 2023 en Abitibi, \u00e0 T\u00e9miscamingue et dans les Appachies qu\u00e9b\u00e9coises.<\/p>\n<p>De plus, l&#039;\u00e9quipe de l&#039;INRS dispose de plusieurs spectrom\u00e8tres \u00e0 gaz portables ainsi que du mat\u00e9riel d&#039;\u00e9chantillonnage et de la logistique n\u00e9cessaires pour pr\u00e9lever des \u00e9chantillons de gaz et effectuer des mesures g\u00e9ophysiques sur terre ou en milieu aquatique.
