Nous observons, au sein d\u2019un m\u00eame forage, des intervalles br\u00e9chiques verticalement s\u00e9par\u00e9s qui pr\u00e9sentent des caract\u00e9ristiques g\u00e9ochimiques compatibles avec des environnements hydrog\u00e9n\u00e9s.\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Le cadre r\u00e9glementaire mis en place par la province de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse offre la clart\u00e9 n\u00e9cessaire pour faire progresser de fa\u00e7on responsable les strat\u00e9gies d\u2019exploration \u00e0 puits multiples et soutenir la planification et l\u2019investissement \u00e0 long terme. Alors que nous poursuivons la d\u00e9finition de la continuit\u00e9 structurale par le forage et la diagraphie, cette certitude r\u00e9glementaire sous-tend notre approche rigoureuse et syst\u00e9matique, et nous f\u00e9licitons la province pour son leadership proactif en mati\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9nergie propre.\u2019<\/p>\n<h2>Commentaire du g\u00e9ologue du projet<\/h2>\n<p>Edward Procyshyn, g\u00e9ologue du projet, a comment\u00e9 :<\/p>\n<p>\u201d\u00a0Les diagraphies de forage ont identifi\u00e9, au sein de la seconde zone de faille structurale, trois zones de cisaillement br\u00e9chiques distinctes, dont l\u2019alt\u00e9ration et le cisaillage augmentent progressivement avec la profondeur du forage. Avec cette alt\u00e9ration progressive, les fragments de br\u00e8che sont de plus en plus remplac\u00e9s par du carbone-graphite massif, finement cristallin et fonc\u00e9, ainsi que par du mica fonc\u00e9. Chaque zone de cisaillement sous-jacente est plus alt\u00e9r\u00e9e que la zone sus-jacente. Les zones de cisaillement moyennes et inf\u00e9rieures, les plus alt\u00e9r\u00e9es, pr\u00e9sentent des intervalles massifs, sombres, tr\u00e8s finement granuleux et riches en carbone, d\u2019une \u00e9paisseur de 0,5 \u00e0 1 m\u00e8tre. Ces intervalles de carottes fortement alt\u00e9r\u00e9s contiennent les plus fortes concentrations d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne mesur\u00e9es.\u00a0\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>La roche encaissante au sein de la zone de faille structurale subit \u00e9galement une alt\u00e9ration progressive \u00e0 mesure que l&#039;intensit\u00e9 de la d\u00e9formation par cisaillement augmente en profondeur. Des siltites finement stratifi\u00e9es et \u00e0 granulom\u00e9trie fine, des mudstones carbon\u00e9s sombres et des conglom\u00e9rats se recristallisent progressivement pour former, au sein de la zone de faille structurale, des unit\u00e9s massives blanches \u00e0 grain tr\u00e8s fin, semblables \u00e0 de la porcelaine, recoup\u00e9es par des fractures plus sombres, r\u00e9ticulaires \u00e0 lenticulaires. \u00c0 mesure que la fracturation par cisaillement et l&#039;alt\u00e9ration s&#039;intensifient en profondeur, la roche encaissante interm\u00e9diaire, de type porcellanite, change de couleur, passant du blanc au vert p\u00e2le puis au gris verd\u00e2tre fonc\u00e9, ce qui indique des changements min\u00e9ralogiques dus \u00e0 l&#039;aggravation des conditions d&#039;alt\u00e9ration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Edward Procyshyn a poursuivi\u00a0:<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019alt\u00e9ration hydrothermale progressive de cette zone de cisaillement structurale corrobore le mod\u00e8le selon lequel l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne blanc natif est g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9 de fa\u00e7on croissante dans les niveaux inf\u00e9rieurs de la cro\u00fbte par d\u00e9gazage d\u2019un syst\u00e8me magmatique et transport\u00e9 par des fluides hydrothermaux advectifs vers les structures de cisaillement associ\u00e9es \u00e0 la faille.
