Cette \u00e9tape importante repr\u00e9sente un pas en avant structur\u00e9 dans la mise en \u0153uvre rigoureuse et responsable du d\u00e9veloppement souterrain de QIMC.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9valuation \u00e9tablit les conditions environnementales de r\u00e9f\u00e9rence essentielles \u00e0 la planification des phases ult\u00e9rieures de d\u00e9veloppement du sous-sol. Elle s\u2019inscrit dans l\u2019approche progressive et fond\u00e9e sur les donn\u00e9es de QIMC, con\u00e7ue pour r\u00e9duire les risques, appuyer la prise de d\u00e9cisions techniques et assurer une conformit\u00e9 rapide aux exigences r\u00e9glementaires. Les travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par Strum Consulting, une firme d\u2019ing\u00e9nierie et d\u2019environnement bien \u00e9tablie au Canada atlantique, poss\u00e9dant une vaste exp\u00e9rience dans le soutien de projets d\u2019infrastructures \u00e9nerg\u00e9tiques et de ressources naturelles.<\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9gion d&#039;Eatonville, ainsi que la zone adjacente de West Advocate, constituent actuellement l&#039;une des zones prioritaires de QIMC en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse. Les activit\u00e9s d&#039;exploration r\u00e9alis\u00e9es \u00e0 ce jour ont permis de d\u00e9celer des anomalies d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne en surface et en subsurface, ainsi que d&#039;interpr\u00e9ter des structures g\u00e9ologiques qui jouent un r\u00f4le dans la migration de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne.
