Vitaly Vidavskiy d&#039;Avalio, expert mondialement reconnu en hydrog\u00e8ne naturel, fournira des services de conseil sur le programme initial de forage hivernal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201d L\u2019annonce aujourd\u2019hui de notre premier programme de forage hivernal \u00e0 West Advocate marque une autre \u00e9tape importante pour Qu\u00e9bec Innovative Materials Corp. (QIMC) et notre projet d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne naturel propre en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse \u2019, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 John Karagiannidis, pr\u00e9sident et chef de la direction de QIMC.<\/p>\n<p>\u201d Nos cibles de forage prioritaires pour la prochaine saison hivernale se concentrent sur la r\u00e9gion de West Advocate, o\u00f9 les mesures d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 une remarquable constance sur trois campagnes de terrain cons\u00e9cutives. Les r\u00e9centes mesures en surface, atteignant jusqu&#039;\u00e0 4\u00a0300 ppm, combin\u00e9es aux \u00e9chantillons de roche en subsurface d\u00e9passant 1\u00a0000 ppm, confirment la pr\u00e9sence d&#039;un syst\u00e8me d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne naturel robuste et dynamique. La forte corr\u00e9lation observ\u00e9e entre le radon, le thoron et l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne dans de multiples jeux de donn\u00e9es appuie davantage l&#039;interpr\u00e9tation d&#039;un flux d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne actif, advectif et abiotique. \u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>\u201d\u00a0Alors que nous progressons dans notre programme de forage, ces r\u00e9sultats constituent une \u00e9tape d\u00e9cisive vers la confirmation de l\u2019un des syst\u00e8mes d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne naturel les plus prometteurs identifi\u00e9s en Am\u00e9rique du Nord.\u00a0\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Des pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements r\u00e9cents de gaz du sol dans le\u00a0<b>West Advocate<\/b>\u00a0zone retourn\u00e9e\u00a0<b>concentrations d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne de 3 800 ppm et 4 300 ppm<\/b>, obtenus au cours de la premi\u00e8re semaine de novembre. Ces nouveaux r\u00e9sultats d\u00e9montrent des r\u00e9sultats remarquables\u00a0<b>coh\u00e9rence sur trois saisons d&#039;\u00e9chantillonnage et r\u00e9gimes de temp\u00e9rature distincts<\/b>, soulignant le\u00a0<b>dynamique, advective et abiotique<\/b>\u00a0nature du syst\u00e8me hydrog\u00e8ne.\u00a0<b>Il est important de noter que ces mesures \u00e9lev\u00e9es d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne ont \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9es sans d\u00e9tection de CO\u2082, de m\u00e9thane ou de gaz sulfur\u00e9s.<\/b>, confirmant l&#039;origine propre et abiotique des \u00e9missions. Des mesures suppl\u00e9mentaires d\u00e9passant\u00a0<b>1 000 ppm directement sur le substratum rocheux expos\u00e9 \u00e0 une profondeur de plus de trois m\u00e8tres<\/b>, sans interf\u00e9rence de surcharge, confirment en outre le\u00a0<b>corr\u00e9lation surface-sous-surface<\/b>\u00a0dans les \u00e9missions d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne. Collectivement, ces r\u00e9sultats valident le mod\u00e8le d&#039;exploration de QIMC pour les syst\u00e8mes de migration naturelle de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne contr\u00f4l\u00e9s par les failles dans les environnements rocheux s\u00e9dimentaires et cristallins.<\/p>\n<p><b>Syst\u00e8me \u00e0 hydrog\u00e8ne naturel propre<\/b><\/p>\n<p>\u201d La section de relev\u00e9 du radon le long de la route d&#039;Eatonville (figure 1) d\u00e9montre l&#039;efficacit\u00e9 des mesures de radon pour localiser les zones de perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e associ\u00e9es aux failles secondaires dans la r\u00e9gion de West Advocate \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9\u00a0<b>Professeur Marc Richer-Lafl\u00e8che<\/b>\u00a0de la\u00a0<b>Institut National de la Recherche Scientifique (INRS)<\/b>. \u201d Ces zones sont caract\u00e9ris\u00e9es par de tr\u00e8s fortes concentrations de radon et des rapports radon\/thoron \u00e9lev\u00e9s. La pr\u00e9sence de concentrations de radon tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9es \u2013 d\u00e9passant 100\u00a0000 becquerels par m\u00e8tre cube \u2013 et de niveaux mod\u00e9r\u00e9s de thoron sugg\u00e8re, a priori, l\u2019existence de syst\u00e8mes de transport advectif suffisamment profonds pour que le thoron, dont la demi-vie est courte (55,6 secondes), se d\u00e9sint\u00e8gre par rapport au radon, dont la demi-vie est beaucoup plus longue (3,8 jours). \u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/fr\/\"https:><img class=\"\\\"releaseimage\\\"\" src=\"\\\"https:><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Figure 1.<\/b>\u00a0<i>Section de 4\u00a0000 m\u00e8tres montrant les concentrations de radon mesur\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019automne 2025 le long de la route Eatonville dans le secteur de West Advocate.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Pour consulter une version am\u00e9lior\u00e9e de ce graphique, veuillez visiter\u00a0:<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/fr\/\"https:>https:\/\/images.newsfilecorp.com\/files\/7968\/274101_354880b834ac48a6_001full.jpg<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201d Ces fortes concentrations de radon sont observ\u00e9es dans une zone tectoniquement complexe, caract\u00e9ris\u00e9e par le soul\u00e8vement du socle, la d\u00e9formation des roches s\u00e9dimentaires et un environnement fortement influenc\u00e9 par la zone de faille de Cobequid \u201d, a poursuivi le professeur Richer-Lafl\u00e8che. \u201d \u00c0 West Advocate, les donn\u00e9es pr\u00e9liminaires soulignent l&#039;importance des structures secondaires situ\u00e9es au nord de la branche sud de la faille de Cobequid (Fig. 1). \u00c9tant donn\u00e9 que la zone de faille de Cobequid pr\u00e9sente une composante d\u00e9crochante dextre significative, les structures secondaires parall\u00e8les ou faiblement inclin\u00e9es par rapport \u00e0 la faille principale (cisaillements P) pourraient contr\u00f4ler, en partie ou en totalit\u00e9, la remont\u00e9e du radon et de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne vers le sous-sol. De plus, des structures plus obliques, mises en \u00e9vidence par les donn\u00e9es LiDAR et topographiques, pourraient \u00e9galement faciliter la migration de ces gaz. \u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201d Dans le contexte structural de la zone de faille de Cobequid \u201d, a-t-il ajout\u00e9, \u201d ces structures peuvent repr\u00e9senter\u00a0<b>failles de chevauchement secondaires (NE-SO)<\/b>\u00a0ou\u00a0<b>d\u00e9fauts normaux (NO-SE)<\/b>\u00a0(Fig. 2). Ces environnements de failles secondaires sont propices \u00e0 la formation de\u00a0<b>cataclasites<\/b>\u00a0et\u00a0<b>zones de br\u00e8che<\/b>, Ces roches cataclastiques augmentent la perm\u00e9abilit\u00e9 des roches et la circulation des fluides et des gaz tels que l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne et le radon. Elles sont fr\u00e9quemment observ\u00e9es sur les cartes g\u00e9ologiques des hautes terres de Cobequid. Il est \u00e9galement important de noter que les zones de failles d\u00e9crochantes matures et segment\u00e9es pr\u00e9sentent souvent une alternance de segments perm\u00e9ables et \u00e9tanches\u00a0; c&#039;est apparemment le cas dans la partie sud de la zone de faille de Cobequid, o\u00f9 les anomalies de radon et d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne sont absentes le long d&#039;une partie du tron\u00e7on de la route d&#039;Eatonville (Fig.\u00a01).\u201d<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"\/fr\/\"https:><img class=\"\\\"releaseimage\\\"\" src=\"\\\"https:><\/a><\/p>\n<p><b>Figure 2.<\/b>\u00a0<i>Sch\u00e9ma illustrant la formation de zones de chevauchement et d&#039;effondrement secondaires (failles normales) associ\u00e9es \u00e0 un syst\u00e8me de failles d\u00e9crochantes dextres. Modifi\u00e9 d&#039;apr\u00e8s Zhao et al., 2025.<\/i><\/p>\n<p>Pour consulter une version am\u00e9lior\u00e9e de ce graphique, veuillez visiter\u00a0:<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/fr\/\"https:>https:\/\/images.newsfilecorp.com\/files\/7968\/274101_354880b834ac48a6_002full.jpg<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201d La complexit\u00e9 structurale et la faible densit\u00e9 des affleurements rocheux dans les hautes terres de Cobequid, pr\u00e8s de West Advocate, n\u00e9cessitent la mise en \u0153uvre de lev\u00e9s g\u00e9ophysiques afin de localiser et de caract\u00e9riser pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment les diff\u00e9rents syst\u00e8mes de failles qui recoupent les unit\u00e9s rocheuses et de les corr\u00e9ler avec les anomalies d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne et de radon observ\u00e9es dans les sols. Ces lev\u00e9s seront effectu\u00e9s \u00e0 partir de\u2026 \u00bb\u00a0<b>De novembre 2025 \u00e0 janvier 2026<\/b>.\\\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Programme initial de forage hivernal<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Suite \u00e0 la s\u00e9lection de West Advocate pour le programme initial de forage hivernal,\u00a0<b>QIMC et INRS<\/b>\u00a0passent aux troisi\u00e8me et quatri\u00e8me phases :<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Effectuer un\u00a0<b>lev\u00e9 gravim\u00e9trique \u00e0 grande \u00e9chelle<\/b>\u00a0(1 000 stations) \u00e0 travers le\u00a0<b>D\u00e9fenseur de l&#039;Ouest et de l&#039;Est<\/b>\u00a0zones.<\/li>\n<li>Effectuer\u00a0<b>enqu\u00eates audiomagn\u00e9totelluriques (AMT)<\/b>\u00a0environ\u00a0<b>17 km<\/b>\u00a0cartographier les structures g\u00e9ologiques profondes sous-jacentes aux domaines riches en hydrog\u00e8ne et en radon.<\/li>\n<li>Effectuer\u00a0<b>tomographie g\u00e9o\u00e9lectrique \u00e0 haute r\u00e9solution<\/b>\u00a0(sections de plus de 1 000 m) dans des zones cl\u00e9s pour produire une imagerie d\u00e9taill\u00e9e du substratum rocheux fractur\u00e9 imm\u00e9diatement sous les zones de sol riches en hydrog\u00e8ne.<\/li>\n<li>Acqu\u00e9rir\u00a0<b>TDEM (\u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tique dans le domaine temporel) au sol<\/b>\u00a0des donn\u00e9es \u00e0 tr\u00e8s haute r\u00e9solution spatiale pour localiser les couloirs de fractures pr\u00e9sentant un int\u00e9r\u00eat pour l&#039;exploration de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ces ensembles de donn\u00e9es seront interpr\u00e9t\u00e9s conjointement avec les mesures d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne dans les gaz du sol et les r\u00e9sultats des analyses de radon et de thoron pr\u00e9vues pour l&#039;automne 2025. Les mod\u00e8les g\u00e9ologiques et g\u00e9ophysiques int\u00e9gr\u00e9s qui en r\u00e9sulteront serviront de guide.\u00a0<b>Cibles de forage dans la zone ouest de l&#039;Advocate pour le programme de forage initial hivernal de QIMC<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p>L&#039;\u00e9tude gravim\u00e9trique a d\u00e9but\u00e9 mi-octobre et devrait s&#039;achever mi-novembre 2025.
