(CSE\u00a0: QIMC) (OTCQB\u00a0: QIMCF) (FSE\u00a0: 7FJ) (\u201d\u00a0QIMC\u00a0\u201d ou la \u201d\u00a0Soci\u00e9t\u00e9\u00a0\u201d) est heureuse d\u2019annoncer la d\u00e9couverte d\u2019un <strong>troisi\u00e8me grande zone d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne propre<\/strong> en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse. Les analyses de gaz du sol effectu\u00e9es dans les r\u00e9gions de Southampton et d&#039;East Southampton ont donn\u00e9 des r\u00e9sultats positifs. <strong>23 \u00e9chantillons pr\u00e9sentaient une teneur en hydrog\u00e8ne sup\u00e9rieure \u00e0 500 parties par million (ppm).<\/strong>, dont <strong>8 ont d\u00e9pass\u00e9 1 000 ppm<\/strong>, y compris une valeur maximale de <strong>4 125 ppm<\/strong> \u2014 l&#039;une des concentrations les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es enregistr\u00e9es \u00e0 ce jour par la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 dans la province.<\/p>\n<p>\u201d La confirmation d&#039;une troisi\u00e8me zone d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse, avec 23 \u00e9chantillons d\u00e9passant 500 ppm, dont 8 \u00e0 plus de 1\u00a0000 ppm et un pic \u00e0 4\u00a0125 ppm, repr\u00e9sente une \u00e9tape d\u00e9cisive pour QIMC. Chaque nouvelle zone anormale confirme notre hypoth\u00e8se selon laquelle le bassin de Cumberland est l&#039;un des districts d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne naturel les plus prometteurs d&#039;Am\u00e9rique du Nord. Surtout, la g\u00e9ologie r\u00e9v\u00e8le des d\u00e9formations et des plis rocheux entre les structures qui pr\u00e9sentent de fortes similitudes avec le bassin carbonif\u00e8re de Lorraine en Europe. Dans les deux cas, nous nous trouvons dans un bassin carbonif\u00e8re contenant des roches s\u00e9dimentaires continentales, notamment des roches houill\u00e8res. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l&#039;int\u00e9gration des donn\u00e9es sismiques \u00e0 notre mod\u00e8le d&#039;exploration, QIMC se positionne, aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse, \u00e0 l&#039;avant-garde du d\u00e9veloppement de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne propre \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 [nom manquant]. <strong>John Karagiannidis, pr\u00e9sident et chef de la direction de QIMC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Cette nouvelle zone de d\u00e9couverte s&#039;appuie sur les r\u00e9sultats pr\u00e9c\u00e9demment annonc\u00e9s par QIMC \u00e0 West Advocate et Eastern Advocate, confirmant ainsi le r\u00f4le du bassin de Cumberland en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse comme l&#039;un des p\u00f4les \u00e9mergents d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne naturel les plus prometteurs d&#039;Am\u00e9rique du Nord. Avec trois zones majeures d\u00e9sormais confirm\u00e9es, les \u00e9quipes de QIMC et de l&#039;INRS \u00e9tendent leurs programmes de phase 2 et de phase 3 dans ces r\u00e9gions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c Suite \u00e0 de r\u00e9centes r\u00e9unions avec nos partenaires, nous \u00e9valuons \u00e9galement la prochaine phase de d\u00e9veloppement, qui comprend l&#039;int\u00e9gration de la production d&#039;ammoniac dans notre mod\u00e8le, en tirant parti des infrastructures et des installations portuaires existantes de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse \u201d, ajoute John Karagiannidis.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Contexte g\u00e9ologique de Southampton<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les contextes g\u00e9omorphologiques et g\u00e9ologiques de la r\u00e9gion de Southampton diff\u00e8rent sensiblement de ceux de la zone tectonis\u00e9e des hauts plateaux de Cobequid, dans les secteurs d&#039;Advocate et de West-Advocate. Par cons\u00e9quent, la d\u00e9couverte d&#039;un nouveau domaine \u00e0 anomalie d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne dans la r\u00e9gion de Southampton est remarquable et doit \u00eatre interpr\u00e9t\u00e9e en fonction des caract\u00e9ristiques g\u00e9ologiques sp\u00e9cifiques \u00e0 cette zone. <strong>Bassin carbonif\u00e8re de Cumberland<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Le professeur Marc Richer-Lafl\u00e8che (INRS) a comment\u00e9 :<\/strong> <em>\u201c Les anomalies de Southampton mettent en \u00e9vidence un contexte structural et g\u00e9ologique distinct de celui d&#039;Advocate. Nous travaillons ici dans un environnement de bassin carbonif\u00e8re, ce qui offre un contexte unique pour la migration et l&#039;accumulation de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne. \u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Contr\u00f4les structuraux et am\u00e9nagement du bassin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Comme le montre la carte des donn\u00e9es d&#039;altitude (Fig. 1a), les anomalies de gaz du sol contenant de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne se situent sur un plateau de plus basse altitude au nord des hauts plateaux de Cobequid. Cette topographie est influenc\u00e9e par un <strong>syst\u00e8me de failles r\u00e9gional<\/strong> s\u00e9parant les domaines carbonif\u00e8res du bassin de Cumberland au nord (roches s\u00e9dimentaires pennsylvaniennes) des terrains volcano-s\u00e9dimentaires granitiques et n\u00e9oprot\u00e9rozo\u00efques plus anciens du groupe de Jeffers au sud (Fig. 1c).<\/p>\n<p>Ce contraste g\u00e9ologique est clairement exprim\u00e9 par un <strong>magn\u00e9tique haute<\/strong> sur la carte a\u00e9romagn\u00e9tique r\u00e9gionale de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse (Fig. 2). \u00c0 l&#039;\u00e9chelle locale, les lev\u00e9s magn\u00e9tiques et gravim\u00e9triques montrent <strong>valeurs de champ potentiel faibles<\/strong>, Ces zones englobent la plupart des anomalies d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es observ\u00e9es. Elles indiquent g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement un \u00e9paississement des s\u00e9quences s\u00e9dimentaires dans les bassins.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Int\u00e9gration des donn\u00e9es sismiques<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les donn\u00e9es de r\u00e9flexion sismique, retrait\u00e9es par la Commission g\u00e9ologique du Canada (Durling, 2023), soulignent l&#039;importance de <strong>Synclinal d&#039;Athol<\/strong>, qui atteint une profondeur d&#039;environ 5 km sous le secteur anormal de Southampton. Cette section r\u00e9v\u00e8le \u00e9galement la pr\u00e9sence d&#039;au moins <strong>quatre failles plongeant vers le sud<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le mod\u00e8le d&#039;exploration de QIMC, ces failles agissent comme des conduits de migration, favorisant le mouvement ascendant de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne vers les sols de surface (Fig. 3).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Le professeur Richer-Lafl\u00e8che a ajout\u00e9 :<\/strong> <em>\u201c L\u2019int\u00e9gration sismique est essentielle. Elle r\u00e9v\u00e8le la g\u00e9om\u00e9trie du bassin, la profondeur du synclinal d\u2019Athol et le r\u00f4le des syst\u00e8mes de failles qui facilitent la migration de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne. Cette image structurale renforce notre confiance dans les anomalies de Southampton. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Associations lithologiques<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les concentrations d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne les plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es ont \u00e9t\u00e9 observ\u00e9es au-dessus de <strong>Formation de r\u00e9cifs d\u00e9chiquet\u00e9s du Carbonif\u00e8re<\/strong>, compos\u00e9 d&#039;une alternance de gr\u00e8s fluviatiles, de conglom\u00e9rats, de mudstones, de calcaires lacustres et de rares horizons de charbon. En revanche, les sols recouvrant les <strong>Formation de Malagash<\/strong> n&#039;a pas pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 d&#039;anomalies d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p>Du point de vue structural, les anomalies les plus marqu\u00e9es co\u00efncident avec des zones affect\u00e9es par des failles secondaires plongeant vers le sud et orient\u00e9es est-ouest \u00e0 ouest-nord-ouest\u2013est-sud-est. Ces failles semblent recouper une faille d\u00e9crochante subverticale le long de la marge sud du bassin de Cumberland, au pied des hauts plateaux de Cobequid.<\/p>\n<p>Conceptuellement, ce cadre g\u00e9ologique et structural sugg\u00e8re que la formation d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne r\u00e9sulte de <strong>Infiltration des eaux souterraines dans les failles \u00e0 pendage sud<\/strong> et les r\u00e9actions en profondeur avec les roches ign\u00e9es des hautes terres de Cobequid. Ce ph\u00e9nom\u00e8ne est bien document\u00e9. <strong>gradient g\u00e9othermique \u00e9lev\u00e9 du bassin de Cumberland<\/strong> agit comme catalyseur pour de tels proc\u00e9d\u00e9s de production d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"\\\"alignnone\" size-full wp-image-81572\\\" src=\"\\\"https:><\/p>\n<p><strong>Figure 1. Les failles repr\u00e9sent\u00e9es en rouge (r\u00e9gion de Southampton) sont celles observ\u00e9es \u00e0 l\u2019int\u00e9rieur du p\u00e9rim\u00e8tre des lev\u00e9s de gaz du sol effectu\u00e9s \u00e0 Southampton.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>R\u00e9sultats analytiques des \u00e9tudes sur les gaz du sol dans les r\u00e9gions de Southampton et d&#039;East Southampton.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Les travaux ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9s du 2 au 11 ao\u00fbt 2025 dans des conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques ensoleill\u00e9es particuli\u00e8rement favorables au pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement d&#039;\u00e9chantillons de gaz du sol (temp\u00e9rature moyenne de 29,9 \u00b0C).<sup>o<\/sup>C, pression atmosph\u00e9rique moyenne de 1047 HPa et humidit\u00e9 relative moyenne de 35,9%). Un total de 318 \u00e9chantillons ont \u00e9t\u00e9 pr\u00e9lev\u00e9s sur 6 sections totalisant 28,6 km le long des routes publiques de Southampton et d&#039;East-Southampton.<\/p>\n<p>Les concentrations moyennes et m\u00e9dianes d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne mesur\u00e9es dans les sols de ce secteur sont particuli\u00e8rement variables. Les concentrations minimales, maximales et moyennes sont pr\u00e9sent\u00e9es dans le tableau suivant : <strong>tableau 1<\/strong>.
