La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 surveille actuellement huit puits et anticipe d&#039;autres r\u00e9sultats significatifs \u00e0 mesure que les conditions m\u00e9t\u00e9orologiques \u00e9volueront vers des temp\u00e9ratures plus \u00e9lev\u00e9es et une pression atmosph\u00e9rique plus forte.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Expansion strat\u00e9gique en Ontario <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>S\u2019appuyant sur ces validations, QIMC est heureuse d\u2019annoncer son expansion strat\u00e9gique en Ontario suite au succ\u00e8s de son mod\u00e8le d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues, ayant r\u00e9cemment acquis des concessions mini\u00e8res dans les secteurs de Beauchamp, Henwood et Kerns, au nord-ouest de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues. Au printemps et \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9, la Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 effectuera des pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements de sol et des lev\u00e9s g\u00e9ophysiques ax\u00e9s sur l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne le long des principales structures de failles du graben de T\u00e9miscamingue, notamment le long de la faille de la rivi\u00e8re Blanche.<\/p>\n<p><strong>M\u00e9thodologie utilis\u00e9e<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>T<\/strong>La m\u00e9thode d&#039;\u00e9chantillonnage et d&#039;analyse des gaz utilis\u00e9e par l&#039;\u00e9quipe technique de QIMC consistait \u00e0 pr\u00e9lever des \u00e9chantillons de gaz accumul\u00e9s \u00e0 la t\u00eate de puits. Les puits de surveillance ont \u00e9t\u00e9 for\u00e9s \u00e0 l&#039;aide d&#039;une foreuse diamant\u00e9e et d&#039;un tubage HWT, et une cr\u00e9pine de 50 mm de diam\u00e8tre a \u00e9t\u00e9 ins\u00e9r\u00e9e dans les forages. Du sable de silice a \u00e9t\u00e9 introduit dans l&#039;espace libre entre la partie ext\u00e9rieure de la cr\u00e9pine et le bord des forages. Ensuite, de l&#039;argile (bentonite) a \u00e9t\u00e9 utilis\u00e9e pour obturer les deux premiers m\u00e8tres des puits. Le sommet des puits de surveillance de QIMC est prot\u00e9g\u00e9 par une structure m\u00e9tallique cylindrique cadenass\u00e9e, et un bouchon \u00e9tanche muni d&#039;une vanne (bouchon de puits Waterra) scelle herm\u00e9tiquement l&#039;extr\u00e9mit\u00e9 de la t\u00eate de puits.<\/p>\n<p>Pour l&#039;\u00e9chantillonnage des puits, QIMC utilise un d\u00e9tecteur d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne GasDog GD200-H2. Ce d\u00e9tecteur \u00e9lectrochimique poss\u00e8de une large plage de mesure (0 \u00e0 40\u00a0000 ppm), un temps de r\u00e9ponse inf\u00e9rieur \u00e0 10 secondes et peut \u00eatre utilis\u00e9 \u00e0 des temp\u00e9ratures allant de -20 \u00b0C \u00e0 50 \u00b0C. Veuillez noter que les autres d\u00e9tecteurs de gaz habituellement utilis\u00e9s par QIMC pour d\u00e9tecter de faibles concentrations d&#039;H2 (par exemple, les d\u00e9tecteurs Ga5000) ne conviennent pas \u00e0 la mesure des fortes concentrations d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne pr\u00e9sentes dans les puits.<\/p>\n<p>Lors du pr\u00e9l\u00e8vement d&#039;\u00e9chantillons de gaz, le d\u00e9tecteur de gaz est raccord\u00e9 \u00e0 un collecteur \u00e9tanche muni d&#039;une vanne de couplage herm\u00e9tique. Cette proc\u00e9dure permet d&#039;analyser le volume de gaz contenu dans la t\u00eate de puits sans avoir \u00e0 retirer le bouchon sup\u00e9rieur. Apr\u00e8s la mesure des concentrations de gaz, l&#039;\u00e9quipe de terrain ouvre le bouchon de la t\u00eate de puits et v\u00e9rifie la pr\u00e9sence de glace ou d&#039;eau libre dans le puits. Tous les pr\u00e9l\u00e8vements et mesures instrumentales sont enregistr\u00e9s en mode vid\u00e9o par t\u00e9l\u00e9phone portable.<\/p>\n<p>Les puits de surveillance de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues sont g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement situ\u00e9s sur une \u00e9paisse s\u00e9quence de s\u00e9diments glaciolacustres, et la nappe phr\u00e9atique y est abondante. De ce fait, l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne accumul\u00e9 en t\u00eate de puits traverse la colonne d&#039;eau souterraine et est notamment soumis \u00e0 sa tr\u00e8s faible solubilit\u00e9 dans l&#039;eau (1 \u00e0 2 ppm). Compte tenu de la faible pression hydrostatique du sous-sol et des fortes concentrations d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne observ\u00e9es dans le volume de gaz libre en surface, il est \u00e9vident qu&#039;une proportion importante de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne mesur\u00e9 provient de l&#039;accumulation de bulles d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne qui se forment en surface. La faible densit\u00e9 de ces bulles favorise g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement une remont\u00e9e rapide de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne vers le haut, comparativement aux sources g\u00e9ologiques plus profondes. Les concentrations plus que significatives observ\u00e9es semblent indiquer la pr\u00e9sence d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne s&#039;\u00e9chappant de fractures dans les gr\u00e8s du Groupe Cobalt. Les puits for\u00e9s plus profond\u00e9ment dans la roche fractur\u00e9e (sous les s\u00e9diments quaternaires) devraient permettre d\u2019\u00e9valuer l\u2019\u00e9tendue et les caract\u00e9ristiques chimiques des remont\u00e9es de gaz responsables de la formation des anomalies d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne observ\u00e9es dans les sols et dans les sommets des puits de surveillance for\u00e9s en d\u00e9cembre 2024 et janvier 2025 \u00e0 Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00c0 propos de l&#039;INRS et du Pr. <\/strong><strong>Marc Richer-LaFl\u00e8che, P.G\u00e9o.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS) est un institut de recherche et de formation de haut niveau. L\u2019\u00e9quipe du Pr Richer-LaFl\u00e8che poss\u00e8de une expertise exceptionnelle en g\u00e9ologie, g\u00e9ochimie et g\u00e9ophysique, notamment dans les r\u00e9gions des concessions r\u00e9cemment acquises par QIMC. Elle a men\u00e9 plus de six ann\u00e9es de travaux g\u00e9ophysiques et g\u00e9ochimiques et r\u00e9alis\u00e9 des milliers d\u2019analyses de gaz du sol (C1-C4).<\/p>\n<p>De plus, l&#039;\u00e9quipe de l&#039;INRS dispose de plusieurs spectrom\u00e8tres \u00e0 gaz portables ainsi que du mat\u00e9riel d&#039;\u00e9chantillonnage et de la logistique n\u00e9cessaires pour pr\u00e9lever des \u00e9chantillons de gaz et effectuer des mesures g\u00e9ophysiques sur le terrain ou en milieu aquatique.<\/p>\n<p>Le professeur Richer-LaFl\u00e8che est \u00e9galement titulaire d&#039;une subvention du FRQNT, en partenariat avec le R\u00e9seau des mines et de la g\u00e9ologie du Qu\u00e9bec et l&#039;industrie mini\u00e8re, pour d\u00e9velopper et optimiser une m\u00e9thode d&#039;analyse des gaz du sol permettant la d\u00e9tection directe des corps min\u00e9ralis\u00e9s et des failles sous la couverture quaternaire. Outre les gaz sulfur\u00e9s, l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne a \u00e9t\u00e9 syst\u00e9matiquement analys\u00e9 lors des nombreuses campagnes de prospection men\u00e9es en 2023 en Abitibi, \u00e0 T\u00e9miscamingue et dans les Appachies qu\u00e9b\u00e9coises.<\/p>\n<p>Le Pr Richer-Lafl\u00e8che, expert qualifi\u00e9 en exploration de l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne, a examin\u00e9, lu et approuv\u00e9 le contenu technique pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 dans ce communiqu\u00e9.
