Ce r\u00e9cent lev\u00e9 a permis d\u2019effectuer plus de 1\u00a0000 mesures gravim\u00e9triques, r\u00e9alis\u00e9es avec soin \u00e0 intervalles de 50\u00a0m\u00e8tres sur une vaste superficie de 80\u00a0kilom\u00e8tres carr\u00e9s dans la r\u00e9gion de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues. Ces mesures sont essentielles pour \u00e9valuer l\u2019\u00e9paisseur des couches de roches s\u00e9dimentaires qui recouvrent la ceinture de roches vertes volcano-plutoniques arch\u00e9ennes, et fournissent des informations cruciales sur les conditions de formation et de migration de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p>Notre \u00e9quipe r\u00e9alise actuellement des analyses d&#039;inversion 2D et 3D avanc\u00e9es sur cet ensemble de donn\u00e9es gravim\u00e9triques exhaustif. Ces analyses nous permettront de cr\u00e9er des mod\u00e8les gravim\u00e9triques d\u00e9taill\u00e9s pour Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues, qui s&#039;int\u00e9greront parfaitement aux donn\u00e9es des zones centrales et m\u00e9ridionales afin d&#039;\u00e9tablir un mod\u00e8le gravim\u00e9trique \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9chelle du district. Ce mod\u00e8le am\u00e9liorera notre compr\u00e9hension g\u00e9ologique et contribuera \u00e0 identifier les emplacements privil\u00e9gi\u00e9s pour les conduits d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne et d&#039;h\u00e9lium.<\/p>\n<p>Nous optimisons \u00e9galement les param\u00e8tres d&#039;une prochaine campagne de prospection \u00e9lectromagn\u00e9tique (TDEM), pr\u00e9vue entre l&#039;hiver 2024 et le d\u00e9but 2025. Le syst\u00e8me TDEM, propri\u00e9t\u00e9 de QIMC et con\u00e7u sp\u00e9cifiquement pour la prospection d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne et d&#039;h\u00e9lium, est un syst\u00e8me terrestre de pointe qui fournit des profils de r\u00e9sistivit\u00e9 \u00e9lectrique et de chargeabilit\u00e9 \u00e0 haute r\u00e9solution. Avec des profondeurs de p\u00e9n\u00e9tration de 100 \u00e0 200 m\u00e8tres et une r\u00e9solution horizontale pouvant atteindre 15 centim\u00e8tres, ce syst\u00e8me est essentiel pour identifier les principaux conduits d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne et cartographier les r\u00e9seaux de fractures du substratum rocheux dissimul\u00e9s sous les couches de s\u00e9diments glaciolacustres. Les informations structurales ainsi obtenues seront d\u00e9terminantes pour orienter la prospection de gaz du sol et les forages afin de localiser pr\u00e9cis\u00e9ment les conduits d&#039;advection naturels \u00e0 dominante d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mod\u00e8le d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne et d&#039;h\u00e9lium<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Suite \u00e0 une saison de prospection d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne r\u00e9ussie durant l&#039;\u00e9t\u00e9 2024 \u2014 o\u00f9 notre \u00e9quipe de terrain d\u00e9vou\u00e9e a collect\u00e9 1 100 \u00e9chantillons, d\u00e9passant de deux fois nos objectifs initiaux \u2014, nous nous fixons des objectifs ambitieux pour la prospection d&#039;h\u00e9lium, avec un programme complet d&#039;\u00e9chantillonnage des sols pr\u00e9vu pour 2025.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c\u00a0Comme le sugg\u00e8re notre mod\u00e8le g\u00e9ologique, l\u2019h\u00e9lium et l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne pr\u00e9sents dans cette r\u00e9gion semblent \u00eatre g\u00e9n\u00e9r\u00e9s par des processus g\u00e9ologiques similaires\u00a0\u201d, note le professeur Marc Richer-Lafl\u00e8che. \u201c\u00a0Ce mod\u00e8le r\u00e9v\u00e8le une r\u00e9partition distincte\u00a0: un m\u00e9lange d\u2019h\u00e9lium et d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vers l\u2019ouest, influenc\u00e9 par les roches arkosiques du Groupe Cobalt, riches en potassium et en actinides, et une concentration d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne vers l\u2019est, associ\u00e9e \u00e0 la ceinture de roches vertes ferrif\u00e8res du Groupe Baby, o\u00f9 les roches sont comparativement plus pauvres en potassium et en actinides\u00a0\u201d, pr\u00e9cise le professeur Lafl\u00e8che.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c Cette observation s\u2019inscrit dans notre strat\u00e9gie visant \u00e0 explorer et \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper efficacement l\u2019h\u00e9lium et l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne dans notre district de Ville-Marie \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 John Karagiannidis, PDG de QIMC.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>relev\u00e9s d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne sous-marin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9quipe du QIMC et de l\u2019INRS d\u00e9ploiera une sonde aquatique sp\u00e9cialement con\u00e7ue pour mesurer les concentrations d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne dissous dans les eaux du lac T\u00e9miscamingue. \u201c Par analogie avec la d\u00e9tection de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne dans les sols (gaz du sol), la possibilit\u00e9 de mesurer quantitativement les concentrations d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne dans l\u2019eau contribuera \u00e0 notre mod\u00e8le des m\u00e9canismes de transfert d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne dans les structures du graben du lac T\u00e9miscamingue \u201d, souligne John Karagiannidis, PDG du QIMC. Ces structures ont \u00e9t\u00e9 bien document\u00e9es par imagerie sonar et CHIRP ainsi que par des lev\u00e9s de sismique r\u00e9flexion r\u00e9alis\u00e9s par la Commission g\u00e9ologique du Canada.<\/p>\n<p>L&#039;approche adopt\u00e9e par le QIMC et l&#039;INRS repose sur des techniques de d\u00e9tection du m\u00e9thane en milieu aquatique et des techniques oc\u00e9anographiques de d\u00e9tection des sources hydrothermales sur les dorsales m\u00e9dio-oc\u00e9aniques. La sonde exclusive utilis\u00e9e permet de mesurer l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne et d&#039;autres param\u00e8tres importants tels que la bathym\u00e9trie, la temp\u00e9rature de l&#039;eau et le pH, et d&#039;identifier les conduits\/chemin\u00e9es d&#039;advection.<\/p>\n<p>La sonde sera d\u00e9ploy\u00e9e durant l&#039;hiver 2024 et d\u00e9but 2025 \u00e0 l&#039;aide de forages r\u00e9alis\u00e9s dans la surface gel\u00e9e du lac T\u00e9miscamingue. Pour chaque forage, des mesures seront effectu\u00e9es \u00e0 diff\u00e9rentes profondeurs, permettant ainsi de cartographier les concentrations d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne dissous dans le lac sur des segments de plusieurs kilom\u00e8tres de long. L&#039;\u00e9quipe portera notamment une attention particuli\u00e8re aux zones faill\u00e9es situ\u00e9es dans les parties les plus profondes du lac T\u00e9miscamingue.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019\u00e9tude hivernale sera suivie d\u2019acquisitions aquatiques \u00e0 l\u2019aide d\u2019un bateau et de petites embarcations capables de naviguer sur le lac T\u00e9miscamingue et la rivi\u00e8re \u00e0 la Loutre (Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues), la Petite Rivi\u00e8re Blanche (Duhamel-Ouest) et la rivi\u00e8re Blanche (secteur Notre-Dame-du-Nord). Ces cours d\u2019eau traversent des zones de roches s\u00e9dimentaires dans le graben de T\u00e9miscamingue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c Le lac Kipawa illustre comment la sismicit\u00e9 r\u00e9gionale provoque la remont\u00e9e de gaz vers le sous-sol. Il s\u2019agit d\u2019une d\u00e9monstration \u00e0 \u00e9chelle humaine du processus de transfert de gaz rapide et dynamique dans le graben de T\u00e9miscamingue \u201d, explique le professeur Lafl\u00e8che. \u201c Fait int\u00e9ressant, le lac Kipawa se situe au sud de notre propri\u00e9t\u00e9 et Notre-Dame-du-Nord au nord de Saint-Bruno.
