(CSE\u00a0: QIMC) (FSE\u00a0: 7FJ) (\u201d\u00a0QI Mat\u00e9riaux\u00a0\u201d, \u201d\u00a0QIMC\u00a0\u201d ou la \u201d\u00a0Soci\u00e9t\u00e9\u00a0\u201d) est fi\u00e8re d\u2019annoncer une d\u00e9couverte majeure r\u00e9alis\u00e9e en collaboration avec son partenaire qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois, l\u2019Institut national de la recherche scientifique (INRS). Les r\u00e9sultats de la ligne\u00a07, un forage nord-sud de 9,7\u00a0km r\u00e9cemment achev\u00e9, ont r\u00e9v\u00e9l\u00e9 des \u00e9chantillons de sol contenant de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne \u00e0 des concentrations d\u00e9passant 1\u00a0000\u00a0parties par million (ppm). Plus particuli\u00e8rement, huit mesures ont d\u00e9pass\u00e9 600\u00a0ppm, dont deux ont franchi la barre des 1\u00a0000\u00a0ppm. De plus, la moyenne mesur\u00e9e s\u2019est \u00e9tablie \u00e0 531,9\u00a0ppm sur un intervalle de 450\u00a0ms entre les mesures sup\u00e9rieures \u00e0 1\u00a0000\u00a0ppm (figure\u00a01). Le professeur Marc Richer-Lafl\u00e8che, directeur scientifique du Laboratoire de g\u00e9osciences appliqu\u00e9es, commente\u00a0: \u201d\u00a0Ces valeurs tr\u00e8s anormales peuvent \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9es comme exceptionnelles \u00e9tant donn\u00e9 que les valeurs absolues d\u00e9passent localement la limite de d\u00e9tection instrumentale de 1\u00a0000\u00a0ppm. Cette perc\u00e9e souligne notre leadership dans le secteur de l\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne et renforce notre engagement \u00e0 faire progresser les technologies durables qui appuient les objectifs du Qu\u00e9bec en mati\u00e8re de r\u00e9duction des \u00e9missions. Nous attendons avec impatience les prochaines \u00e9tapes du d\u00e9veloppement et de la commercialisation de cette remarquable ressource d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne.\u00a0\u201d<\/p>\n<p><b>Impact strat\u00e9gique<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Pour d\u00e9limiter la zone de fortes concentrations d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne observ\u00e9es le long de la ligne 1 du relev\u00e9 de gaz du sol de juillet 2024, l\u2019\u00e9quipe de terrain de l\u2019INRS a prolong\u00e9 la ligne 1 vers l\u2019ouest durant la premi\u00e8re semaine d\u2019ao\u00fbt 2024. Ce prolongement d\u00e9bute \u00e0 la limite entre for\u00eat et terres agricoles et se termine pr\u00e8s du chemin des deuxi\u00e8me et troisi\u00e8me rangs de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues (ligne 7). \u201d\u00a0Comme pr\u00e9vu initialement par notre mod\u00e8le d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne, l\u2019intensit\u00e9 des anomalies d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne dans le sol a diminu\u00e9 progressivement vers l\u2019ouest (figure 3)\u00a0\u201d, note le professeur Marc Richer-Lafleche. \u201d Cette diminution de la concentration souligne une fermeture vers l\u2019ouest du domaine de l\u2019anomalie d\u2019hydrog\u00e8ne. Cette variabilit\u00e9 spatiale peut refl\u00e9ter, entre autres, la pr\u00e9sence d\u2019unit\u00e9s g\u00e9ologiques contrast\u00e9es (gr\u00e8s arkosiques, conglom\u00e9rats du Groupe Cobalt, calcaires dolomitiques ordoviciens) et aussi la pr\u00e9sence probable de la faille de Rivi\u00e8re-Blanche, qui pourrait se situer dans la r\u00e9gion de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues sous les \u00e9pais s\u00e9diments glacio-lacustres \u201d, explique le professeur Marc Richer-Lafleche.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"\\\"alignnone\" size-full wp-image-1195\\\" src=\"\\\"https:><\/p>\n<p>Fig. 3 : Carte de localisation de l&#039;\u00e9tude des gaz du sol pour la ligne 7 (Nord-Sud) et les lignes Est-Ouest 1, 2, 3, 4 et 5.<\/p>\n<p>Pour consulter une version am\u00e9lior\u00e9e de ce graphique, veuillez visiter\u00a0:<br \/>\n<a href=\"\/fr\/\"https:>https:\/\/images.newsfilecorp.com\/files\/7968\/222081_817f3f7364ef2850_003full.jpg<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u201d Nous pensons que cette faille est en partie responsable de la pr\u00e9sence d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne dans la r\u00e9gion de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues \u201d, a d\u00e9clar\u00e9 John Karagiannidis, directeur g\u00e9n\u00e9ral du QIMC. La localisation pr\u00e9cise de cette faille est une priorit\u00e9 pour le QIMC et l&#039;INRS et fera l&#039;objet d&#039;une \u00e9tude audiomagn\u00e9totellurique \u00e0 haute r\u00e9solution spatiale pr\u00e9vue pour l&#039;automne 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Dans la zone des stations d&#039;\u00e9chantillonnage pr\u00e9sentant des anomalies d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne, aucune trace de puits (anciens puits miniers ou p\u00e9troliers) n&#039;a \u00e9t\u00e9 relev\u00e9e sur le terrain (ni dans les bases de donn\u00e9es du MRNF). Ces puits pourraient expliquer, entre autres, la pr\u00e9sence d&#039;anomalies d&#039;H\u2082 d&#039;origine anthropique. De plus, contrairement aux fausses anomalies d&#039;H\u2082 r\u00e9guli\u00e8rement rapport\u00e9es dans la litt\u00e9rature scientifique, les zones anormales d&#039;H\u2082 \u00e0 Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues s&#039;\u00e9tendent sur plus d&#039;un kilom\u00e8tre (selon un axe nord-sud ou est-ouest), ce qui ne peut \u00eatre attribu\u00e9 \u00e0 des sources anthropiques.<\/p>\n<p>Il est \u00e9galement peu probable que les anomalies gazeuses r\u00e9sultent de processus biog\u00e9niques souterrains, car les s\u00e9diments glaciolacustres pr\u00e9sentant ces anomalies, ainsi que les zones appauvries en H\u2082 (fond), sont tr\u00e8s similaires d&#039;un site d&#039;\u00e9chantillonnage \u00e0 l&#039;autre. Ces s\u00e9diments quaternaires sont essentiellement compos\u00e9s d&#039;une matrice min\u00e9rale peu propice \u00e0 la production d&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne par fermentation de la mati\u00e8re organique. Contrairement \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9tude d&#039;Etiope et al. (2024), r\u00e9alis\u00e9e sur des sols de la vall\u00e9e de Pusteria (Italie du Nord), les concentrations de H\u2082 observ\u00e9es dans les sols du graben du lac de T\u00e9miscamingue ne sont pas associ\u00e9es \u00e0 des concentrations tr\u00e8s \u00e9lev\u00e9es de CH\u2084 et de CO\u2082. \u201d\u00a0Il est donc probable que l&#039;hydrog\u00e8ne pr\u00e9sent dans les sols de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues provienne d&#039;une source g\u00e9ologique plut\u00f4t que biog\u00e9nique\u00a0\u00bb, pr\u00e9cise le professeur Marc Richer-Lafleche.<\/p>\n<p><b>Prochaines \u00e9tapes\u00a0:<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Un \u00e9chantillonnage des sols est pr\u00e9vu \u00e0 l&#039;automne 2024 afin d&#039;analyser plus en d\u00e9tail les caract\u00e9ristiques granulom\u00e9triques et \u00e9l\u00e9mentaires des s\u00e9diments glaciolacustres de la r\u00e9gion de Saint-Bruno-de-Guigues.<\/p>\n<p>Des campagnes de g\u00e9ophysique gravim\u00e9triques et audiomagn\u00e9totelluriques (AMT) sont \u00e9galement pr\u00e9vues pour l&#039;automne 2024 afin d&#039;\u00e9valuer les variations d&#039;\u00e9paisseur des d\u00e9p\u00f4ts s\u00e9dimentaires locaux (cavit\u00e9s gravim\u00e9triques) recouvrant le socle arch\u00e9en. Ces donn\u00e9es permettront de localiser les zones les plus susceptibles de contenir des roches r\u00e9servoirs.
